When October rolls around most people think about pumpkins, Halloween, and trick or treating. Did you know that it is also National Orthodontic Health Month?
The purpose of this month is to create awareness about orthodontics and how it is an essential part of your overall dental and physical health.
Most people think of braces when they think of Orthodontics, but today there are many more options available including clear removable braces (Invisalign), gold braces and even braces that go behind the teeth.
Orthodontics takes a lot of commitment from both patients and their parents, but having braces doesn’t have to be a burden nor do you need to mortgage your house to pay for treatment.
Braces and even Invisalign are affordable and most Orthodontists offer interest-free payment plans with some plans offering no down payment to get started.
Now is the perfect time to celebrate orthodontics in your family. You can easily do this in a few ways:
- For Halloween give out healthier treats. This doesn’t mean that you necessarily have to give out fruits and vegetables! Hand out sugar-free candy or stay away from candy and hand out inexpensive trinkets instead.
- Carve a silly pumpkin that has braces. Its okay if you aren’t an artist as there are plenty of free templates you can find online to help you with pumpkin carving. Our office is even having a pumpkin carving contest for the most creative pumpkin! You can submit your entries via email to [email protected].
- Finally, if you have been thinking about braces or Invisalign, October is a great month to get started before the business of the holiday season approaches. A new smile and functional bite could be the best holiday gift you have ever been given and will provide you a lifetime of confident smiles and dental health.
If you have questions about orthodontics you can always come into our office for a complimentary consultation. We will be happy to discuss how we can assist you and your family with your orthodontic needs.
